About Council Tax reporting service

Independence
Council Tax reporting service is not GOV.UK, a council, or an agent that decides Council Tax liability. You can always report a change directly to your council for free. We record what you tell us and pass it on; the council decides.
Privacy notice
We are the controller for the information you give us. We use it to record your report, send it to the council you chose, invite anyone you named to confirm it, and let you return to your case. We keep reports for six years because of Council Tax time limits, then delete them. You can ask what we hold and object to our using it.
How we use aggregate data
We publish counts only, never individual properties or people. Counts are grouped by neighbourhood (MSOA) and by quarter, published at least 90 days later, and suppressed where a group is too small to be safe. No property-level or person-level data is sold or shared.
Accessibility statement
We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA. Every page works with a keyboard, screen readers, and at 400% zoom. If something does not work for you, contact us and we will find another way to take your report.
